Studio Lighting!

So I got some studio lighting, I am pretty excited! I am still practicing with it and need to get more flooring and backdrops. Here are some cute ones I did of Cason today. Brendan wanted to get pictures too, he insisted on wearing his jammies, what a surprise! Such a goof :)

Halloween Costumes!!

We picked out the cutest little monkey costume for Cason and he looks so stinkin cute in it, we couldn't get him to hold still for 2 seconds, he thought he was so funny and knew how cute he looked! Brendan wanted to be a kitty cat for halloween and since my friend had a random lion costume she brought it over for Brendan to see, and of course since it is so ugly he wants to be the lion with a random head sitting on top. Oh well he is happy with it. I told him it was his turn to take pictures and he just layed down right on his belly and smiled, I can't stop laughing at these pictures of him!

Riding the Bus

Brendan is so excited to be riding the bus. Everyday when he gets off the bus he watches it and says, "I want to ride the bus again tomorrow!" The first day he rode the bus he was very concerned that Cason was going to be sad that he couldn't ride with him, he is so concerned for his brother, even though he is constantly teasing him!

Cason was snacking on some of Brendan's M&M's and I decided he had had enough for the time being so I went into the kitchen and placed the bag on the counter as Cason watched. I went back into the other room to continue scrapbooking. After a few minutes I noticed it had gotten awfully quiet so I went to find Cason to see what he was up to. This is what I found:

Somehow he managed to get to the counter and pulled the bag off and he was enjoying the M&M's once again. He is very smart and can get into anything!

First Day of Preschool

Brendan woke up in a very good mood this morning, He was so excited to start preschool. I bought him his Thomas the train backpack about 3 weeks ago, when he got home with it he packed as many toys into it as he could he put it on his back sitting down, went to stand up and fell right back onto his bum! It was so funny! So this morning I told him to get his backpack on for school, he packed all of his cars in there and I told him that he could only bring 3, he was actually ok with that:) When he got to school he was really shy and stood close to me, when they took the kids to the bathroom I snuck out. I wish I could just sit and watch him, he is the sweetest thing, I know he is going to do so well in school and am so excited for him!

Football Game With Daddy!

Brendan got to go to the UofA Football game with daddy! He was so excited, Grandma Romero bought him and Cason a new jersey and shoes. So Handsome! When daddy and Brendan got to the game Brendan lasted until halftime and then wanted to go home. Daddy stopped and got him some chickey nuggets and french fries. On the way home Brendan said "I love you daddy," Chris said "I love you too Bud." Then Brendan said, "mommy say, I love you too honey!" Then he kept saying it and laughing, what a stinker! He is only 3 and already teasing his mommy.

At church yesterday Brendan was being a little loud. Amanda had brought some apples for him and Cason to snack on and added a couple drops of lemon juice to the bag they were in to preserve them from going brown. During the sacrament Amanda handed the bag of apples to Brendan to eat. Brendan opened the bag of apples, took a whiff and with a scowl on his face exclaimed, "That's Nasty!"

Amanda and I tucked our heads in and started crying as we tried to control in our laughter. It wasn't necessarily what he said that was so funny, it was the look on his face and the way he said it that had us laughing, and everytime we thought about it the rest of the day we would laugh again.

I don't want dinner!

Amanda made some “healthy” homemade lasagna for dinner Thursday night. It was actually pretty good. However Brendan did not think so. It has been tough with Brendan’s eating so we have been very lenient with him when it comes to dinner and if he won’t eat we will let him have something he wants and will eat just so he does eat something each night. Well over the past several weeks Brendan has done much better so we want him to eat what is for dinner and for lunch he can choose what he wants so we have become stricter with him and if he won’t eat dinner than too bad, he can go to bed hungry.

Well tonight it was one night that he just would not eat. So we told him if he wanted to have dinner he could eat lasagna that Mommy made. Of course he said no and went on his way. A few minutes later he said, “I want to eat” so I told him that lasagna was for dinner and he could eat that. Again, “no” was his response. A few minutes later the same thing, Lasagna is for dinner you can eat that. Of course Brendan gave the same answer. This went on for a while and then stopped. Probably an hour later Brendan says again, “I want to eat”, Brendan I said, “Mommy made lasagna for dinner, you can eat that” Brendan replies stubbornly, “I want LUNCH!”

Another Trip to the ER!

I swear it feels like all we do is go to the doctor and the ER! Poor little Brendan just takes everything so well and is such a strong little guy. He was pulling on Casons bouncer last night and let go and flew back and hit his head on the wrought iron on the coffee table, now he has 3 staples in the back of his head. Of course he is still smiling and happy though, nothing stops our Brendan :)

Surgery Day

Brendan had his surgery this morning and everything went well, the surgeon made a small incision in his chest and removed the lymph node. They thought that maybe it was a cyst but once he removed it he is sure that it is a lymph node. They are sending it off to pathology to be sure. Everything went well when brendan woke up from the anesthesia he was a little cranky but ok. He took a long nap when we got home and as you can see he is all smiles now and feeling good! Oh and I promise I brush his teeth he just had chocolate before I took the pic :)

We went to Traildust Town on Saturday I got some really cute shots of the boys. Brendan wasn't too happy to take pictures, we had to give him lots of cookies! My BFF took our family pics they look great! I took her family pics they turned out Super cute!! I will post them later.
